The Professional Footballers' Association is 100 years young this year and, as part of our centenary celebrations, we are inviting the readers of givemefootball - the association's official website - the chance to vote for, and select...'The Greatest Team of All Time'.

The PFA is running one of the biggest-ever voting polls to find the Team of the Century, and, ultimately, the greatest player to have graced our Football Leagues over the last 100 years.

Gordon Banks

Gordon Banks was born in Sheffield in 1937 and grew up to become not only England's World Cup winning goalkeeper in 1966, but was acknowledged and later officially crowned as the World's Best Goalkeeper in the 1970 World Cup Tournament in Mexico. Playing first for Leicester City and later Stoke, he would win no major significant domestic trophies apart from a League Cup but his international achievements would be spectacular ...
